Steampunker has a boring name, but a very unusual art style.

It's a 2D, side-scrolling adventure illustrated with a mix of hand-drawn and photorealistic art, giving it a very awkwardly old-school vibe.

Not in a bad way, though. It will certainly have its fans.

According to its trailer, it's been on the receiving end of several awards.

It was even included in a round-up for Krakow's Big Indie Pitch from last year, though it's certainly flown under my radar otherwise.

Steampunker was first launched on iOS sometime last year, with separate iPhone and iPad editions, each £2.29 / $2.99.

Now, you can buy it on Android for a similar price.

Steampunker's website describes it as a 2D adventure game about a man named Vincent who needs to defend his "Victorian future world" from evil space robots.

That's about as steampunk as it gets.

Most of the puzzles seem to be of the point-and-click nature, based on the trailer.

Check it out below, or grab Steampunker for yourself on Google Play.
