ConcernedApe’s legendary farming life simulator Stardew Valley has been awaiting the 1.5 update for quite some time on mobile platforms. Unfortunately, despite shooting to get it out before the year was up, the developer has confirmed on Twitter that this update will be delayed just a little bit to put the finishing touches on it and squash any remaining bugs.

The mobile edition of Stardew Valley typically stays a patch behind compared to its console or PC brothers, and given that the update launched on those versions back in December 2020, it’s easy to imagine why mobile gamers have been so anxious to finally receive it themselves.

This patch itself adds in just an absolutely insane amount of content, featuring new cutscenes, new items to collect, an entire new region to the endgame, and tons more. Given all of these additions, it only adds to the hype that has been built around the mobile port getting the update.

Now, while this might be a bit of a bummer to some, we have to keep in mind that ConcernedApe is still a relatively small team, and judging by their recent tweets, it seems like they’ve been working extra hard to get the patch out. Another important part of this news to consider is that this delay is only a week from the originally planned final week of 2022 launch date, so it’s really not that bad at all.

Still, if you were eager to get your hands on the new content around Christmas, this news could be a little disappointing. Regardless, it’s coming very soon, and you can check out the full changelog to see all of the new stuff you’ll be able to tackle.

If you’d like to prep for all of this new content before it does finally launch, you can purchase Stardew Valley for only $4.99 at either of the links below this article!
