Squad-based competition gets unique twist in new Star Wars: Commander update

Squad Wars have arrived in Star Wars: Commander with today's massive update.

The aim is to collect huge supply crates through large-scale battles and team based warfare, eventually assuming galactic control of the planet Sullust.

The firey planet is a new location in Star Wars: Commander. It's completely volatile with its seas of lava and air filled with ash, so you almost wonder if it's worth fighting over at all.

But you'll still have to occupy it with a Squad War Base which can maximize defensive layouts, and Factory Outposts which help set up smuggler-runs to gain tactical advantages.

Players need to choose between attacking enemy bases, disabling uplinks, or conquering outposts which provide both offensive and defensive buffs. For instance, if you capture a Factory Outpost, all defenses are upgraded.

The update is available right now on iOS and Android and seems really interesting and fun to play. Let us know what you think in the comments section.
