Check out the bizarre upcoming Pokemon-inspired game, Splash! Magikarp
Magikarp, I...choose you?
Pokemon will always be a popular beast. With Pokemon Sun and Moon as such a hit, Pokemon GO is endlessly popular, and the - uh - slightly broken and sudden Pokemon Duel as just a few of the titles released in the past year, Splash! Magikarp might be one of the more bizarre ones.
Gematsu reported on it yesterday after Splash! Magikarp's announcement came in the form of a webpage (displayed like a newspaper clipping). Developed by Select Button, this upcoming iOS and Android title should be with us in Spring 2017.
True to form, however, there's little else to note other than the Magikarp-shaped holes in the ground. Translation from the website's clipping says that the holes were discovered by a fisherman and that there'd be an investigation into the cause.
I'd like to think that this all came about because of that Pokemon Sun and Moon gamer who bossed through the game with just a Magikarp, but that's probably too much of a romantic notion. We'll let you guys know when we find out more.
