Out at midnight - Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic lets you doodle to cast spells
Squiggle magic
What's the worst aspect of a turn-based battle system? Probably how laborious it all is, right? You know: browsing menus, reading descriptions...ugh, just get on with it.
Well, if that's your way of thinking (and it certainly is mine) then Flashout creator Jujubee has a proposition for you.
It arrives tonight in the form of Spellcrafter: The Path of Magic. This is fairly typical turn-based fantasy battler. But, and take note of this, it has a doodling-based spell casting system.
That is to say that, yes, you can draw certain squiggles on the screen instead of selecting spells from a menu. That is certainly more appealing to the impatient folk out there (such as myself).
But is it enough for us to overlook the admittedly same-old features of the rest of The Path of Magic? Well, that's up to you.
You should be able to purchase it for £2.29 / $2.99 on the UK and US App Stores at midnight. It will also be available on Android either tomorrow or soon after.
