Xperia Play game pricing: Glu to charge the same as on Android Market

Glu Mobile has told Pocket Gamer at Mobile World Congress 2011 that its upcoming Xperia Play games will cost the same as on the Android Market.

We previously heard from Sony Ericsson that Xperia Play games would cost in the region of five to ten euros. And Gameloft told us we should expect slightly higher prices than previous mobile games because of an increase in quality.

We saw this first-hand with Trendy Entertainment's Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave, an “under ten dollar” sequel to the $5 (Android) and $1 (iPhone) First Wave.

But Glu has no plans to raise the price of its games when they jump to the Xperia Play. Glu’s Android games range from $1 (like Mini Golf: Wacky Worlds) to $8 (like Guitar Hero 6).
