First launch games for Xperia Play revealed

With over 20 games companies and over 50 games promised for the March launch of Sony Ericsson's first PlayStation Phone, the Xperia Play, we're started to put together a list.

With Xperia Play being an Android devices, many of these games are already released, but Sony Ericsson says these versions will be new and enhanced for the device. For example, FIFA 10 will come with a multiplayer mode.

It's expected prices will be around the premium iOS range of $10/€10.

And in addition to these Android games, there will be exclusive PlayStation classics, such as Crash Bandicoot which will be pre-loaded onto the device, available initially via Android Market, and eventually via PlayStation Network.

Of course, you'll also be able to play any games available via the Android Market but using the touchscreen, rather than the PSP-style control keys.

Launch games

Gameloft says it will have 10 titles at launch, and 20 released in six month. These include

Other publishers supporting the launch but who are yet to release details of titles include Namco Bandai, PopCap and GameHouse.
