Checkpoint Champion creators reveal the squishy, springy world of Sling Kong

Sling Kong isn't about a gorilla with a broken arm. But it does have a chimpanzee, at least. A squishy one.
It's the next game from Protostar, the creators of the Bronze Award-winning racer Checkpoint Champion, and it'll be out for iOS and Android on August 6th.
Sling Kong is a familiar game, being that you catapult animals up a vertical gauntlet, avoiding deadly traps. It's like Pachinko in reverse.
And, actually, the game does have what Protostar describes as a "pachinko-style prize machine," so the comparison is valid.
The animals cling on to a hook with both arms, and then you pull back on them to fling them upwards. Timing and accuracy are the parameters of your success here.
If you are successful, you're showered in gold and can then spend that on unlocking more of the game's 40 characters. This includes an octopus, pig, jellyfish, panda, and loads more.
