Slice It! out now on Android – but only through GetJar
Com2uS the latest developer to snub Android Market
Recent iPhone smash Slice It! has made its way over to Android – but only through GetJar.
Com2uS’s well received puzzler, in which you must dissect a collection of increasingly elaborate shapes, has followed Angry Birds in debuting on the independent app store rather than the official Android Market.
In a statement that’s eerily similar to the one released by Rovio, Com2uS’s Don Lim said: “GetJar's global reach as well as their unique App It! download service ensures that we reach a massive audience who loves simple and fun puzzle game.”
Lim added, “GetJar is the perfect complement to Android Market by extending our game to millions of people in more than 200 countries all over the world.”
Like Angry Birds, Slice It! on Android takes the form of a free ad-funded version. There’s no news as yet as to either an Android Market version or a paid ad-free version.
