Skiing Yeti Mountain update will add new challenges and gear on September 24th

Featherweight Games has let us know that the Gold Award-winning Skiing Yeti Mountain will be getting a cheeky update on September 24th.

It'll have a new time extension mode, 10 new challenge mountain tracks, and 10 new pieces of gear ("including Gary's own line of skis, all 'by Gary'").

The cheeky bit is this last bullet point of the update. Featherweight says it's trying a new "comedic monetisation technique."

Apparently, in the game, Larry will open up an Entrepreneurial consultancy "where you can watch his ads in exchange for rock solid business advice."

In other words, if you want game tips you'll need to watch a video ad.

In other news, Featherweight has now donated $18,500 AUD to Plan Nepal Earthquake Appeal from Skiing Yeti Mountain's profits.

As we found out before, Featherweight is donating half of the game's profits to charity. It's a free to play game but there's an IAP to remove ads - that's where this money has come from.

And so far it seems to have worked out very well. That's a very applause-worthy sum to donate. Hopefully this new monetisation system in the upcoming update will increase it quicker.

You can download Skiing Yeti Mountain for free on the App Store and Google Play.
