Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 puts Persona in your pocket (sort of)

Yes I know the differences

Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 puts Persona in your pocket (sort of)

Look, right, I know that the Persona games aren't really like the usual Shin Megami Tensei series, and I know that Persona has now dropped the SMT from its name to differentiate them. But bear with me, yeah?

Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 (phew!) takes the core SMT battle system - complete with elemental advantages, crazy demons, and the ability to halve your press turns (think One More! moves from Persona) - and throws it onto the smaller screen for everyone to enjoy.

You even get to talk to the demons at random points to try and persuade them to join your party, like in Persona 5! Oh and the other Shin Megami Tensei games, I guess. Let's be honest here, I've only played Persona, and they're better known than Shin Megami Tensei as a seperate entity, so I'm sticking with it.

Having had a bit of play around with it, I can safely say it's actually quite good. There's a bunch of recognisable demons right from the off, and the combat is genuinely fun. Plus it's like, waifu galore. If that's your kind of thing.

Anyway, if that sounds like your cup of devil-tinged tea then you can grab SMTLDx2 from the App Store or Google Play for free right this very moment.
