Harebrained Schemes submits cyberpunk RPG reboot Shadowrun Returns to Apple for approval
Returning at last
After some delays, and then some more delays, it looks like cyberpunk RPG reboot Shadowrun Returns is finally on the cusp of hitting the App Store.
According to Pocket Tactics, Shadowrun Returns developer Harebrained Schemes has submitted the final build of the game to Apple, meaning it should be out within the next couple of weeks for both iOS and Android.
That's good news for any fans of role-playing games in which elements of dystopian science fiction and traditional fantasy are mixed to create a fusion of magic, guns, and hitting things.
Shadowrun Returns was successfully crowdfunded in April 2012, with Harebrained Schemes raising more than half of the target amount in just one day. And it's been out on PC and Mac for quite a while.
Shadowrun Returns is a turn-based strategy RPG in which you control a Shadowrunner, a mercenary that'll take any job offered.
There are different roles from which to choose, including the magic-wielding mage, the computer-focused Decker, and the all-round badass Street Samurai.
We'll let you know when we get a concrete release date and pricing details for the mobile versions of the game.
