Updated on July 23rd, at 11:15: The iOS and Android debut of economical RTS Rymdkapsel has been delayed - due to "complications related to linear space time".
Expect it next week, on August 1st.
Updated on July 12th, at 11:25: A tweet from Rymdkapsel developer Grapefrukt has confirmed that the game will cost $3.99 / £2.49 when it comes out on iOS and Android on July 25th. Original story follows...
Rymdkapsel, the pared down RTS that made quite an impact when it was released on PS Mobile earlier this year, has finally been given a release date for iOS and Android.
And we don't have long to wait, because the esoteric, primary-coloured strategy thing is coming to the App Store and Google Play on July 25th.
We gave the PS Vita version of the game a Silver Award, saying that "you might not be able to say 'Rymdkapsel', but its brilliance is clear enough for all to understand".
The game is set on a space ship in the distant future and sees you building defences to keep alien invaders at bay.
There are three different resources to collect and manage, rooms to slot into place, and wave after wave of enemies to repel as you try and figure out what you're doing and why you're supposed to be doing it.
There's a magnificent ambient soundtrack as well, and a unique art style that completes the package perfectly.
We don't have word on a price for the iOS and Android versions of the game yet, but it's £3.99 on PS Mobile, so that should give you some idea of how much Rymdkapsel will cost. See you in two weeks.
