Good morning, afternoon, or evening, readers! Somehow Monday has crept about again and with it comes another five days of being an adult.

It's not all doom and gloom, though. As you know on Mondays we like to see what awesome games are going cheap and there will definitely be something you like in this round-up.

From simulators, through strategic battlers, and off to arcade gameplay, take a look and see if anything takes your fancy.

1
8bitWar: Origins

  • Platform: iOS
  • Price: F2P

It feels like the 8bitWar series constantly flip-flops between Origins, Necropolis, and Apokalyps going on sale, but we're not complaining.

Get down and dirty in Origins where the battles are harsh and the amount of tactical thinking may make you question your own intelligence. Through 60 levels you need to hire units and deploy them in strategic ways to defend against the enemy.

2
Age of Rivals

This digital card game won't be taking up a ton of time per sitting. Designed for one-two players with sessions running about 10-15 minutes, you'll get a deep, strategical anti-deck building card game in a short amount of time.

In its review we gave it a Silver Award, saying: "Age of Rivals isn't perfect, but it's definitely worth your time all the same."

3
Azkend 2

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £1.09/99c

Azkend 2 is a match-three puzzler with a purpose. After your ship is pulled into the very depths of the ocean, you need to complete the puzzles and return to civilisation.

With different level types, fully-fledged animated cutscenes, challenge modes, power-ups, and more on the roster, I wouldn't skip out on this one.

4
Gears

Explore a striking world and complete tricky challenges in this 3D ball-rolling platformer.

Whatever way you prefer to play, you need to collect cogs and beat the clock through 27 different levels and three worlds.

5
Lumino City

  • Platform: iOS (also on Android)
  • Price: £3.99/$3.99

After Lumi's grandfather is kidnapped you need to explore the gorgeous Lumino City and discover all of its mysterious tricks and workings to find him.

The whole city is made out of paper, card, mini lights, and motors, and it's really striking to look at. It's the winner of multiple awards and well worth diving into for its design alone.

6
PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £1.79/$1.99

I'm sure you know what PAC-MAN is by now, and Championship Edition DX brings the classic game to mobile with more neon lights than Vegas.

Work through 132 levels, ten zone, and enjoy three game modes. Each successful run increases your speed, but if a ghost catches you you'll decrease in speed. Bummer.

7
Runic Rampage

Yep, that's right. The awesome hack-and-slash RPG Runic Rampage is cutting its price right down to - well - nothing.

Master your most brutal attacks, land awesme combos to rack up those points, and paint the land with the blood of your enemies. Dwarf-style. Travel throughout the land on a quest to find a stolen rune, and maybe even discover more about your fallen kingdom on the way.

Trine 2: Complete Story

  • Platform: Android
  • Price: £3.79/$3.99

This one's by far the biggest sale on today (and unfortunately one of the most device-specific) as Trine 2: Complete Story drops right down in price.

Play as the three heroes as they traverse across a fantastical land, solving physics-based puzzles of different elements. So far as I'm aware, Trine 2 doesn't work on Android phones and only on a selection of Android tablets. Best to double check whether your device can run it or not before partaking.

Truck Simulator Pro Europe

Get out on the open road and keep on truckin' until you turn off your phones. Have a bash at driving eight different trucks, customise them to make the most out of driving, and build your own empire.

Hire staff, complete quests, take note of the specific economy, enjoy first-person realistic driving, and discover a load of cities in ten different countries on your path to perfection. Beep beep.
