Rumble Stars reveals 12 Days of Rumble, a new Rumbler and arena for the next season

Rumble Stars is the latest game to announce its Christmas rundown. Of course, they've already released the Dashing Deer whose intercepting prowess has earned it a spot on my team for at least the duration of the festive season.

Frogmind will be giving out daily gifts between now and the 25th in an event they're calling the 12 Days of Rumble. I see what they did there! These will vary between gold, Rumblers, gems and occasionally a mixture of the three.

Additionally, there will also be new events each day that are promising big prizes if you manage to complete them. For instance, today's will reward you with 100 Lazy Pandas to help increase your idle bears level. If you're not an avid user of the Lazy Panda it's still worth doing as it contributes towards increasing your goalie's level.

There are also a few updates for next season too. There will be a new arena called the Royal Garden, which actually looks like a fairly standard football pitch but with a portcullis at the top of the screen and a crown in the centre circle. You'll have to earn 5200 trophies to tread this hallowed turf. I'm all for a traditional looking pitch though, the lava pit isn't the prettiest arena to play on.

There's also going to be a new Rumbler. This pro-level character is called the Energy Pump. Whilst this little fellow is on the field it will generate energy more quickly so you'll be able to deploy your various Rumbler faster. Whether or not this will be significant enough that you can have higher cost Rumblers in your team I'm interested to find out.

Rumble Stars is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
