Avalanche Studios is most well-known for its over-the-top action game series Just Cause on console and PC. But it's breaking away from that a little with the launch of its first mobile game.

It's called Rumble City and is a free to play tactical puzzle brawler about a bunch of 1960s biker gangs fighting for territory. Avalanche refers to it as "biker chess."

More specifically, it takes place in the city of Los Poderosos, where a gang called The Jesters currently rule. You need to face off against opposing gangs across bars, warehouses, and back alleys in turn-based fist fights.

But these fights aren't restricted to fists: you can bring knives, bottles, and a bunch of other weapons. Before each fight you can customise your gang's gear and care for your gang members.

"While the game may be far removed from our trademark open world madness, it captures some of the same oddball humor our fans have come to expect and demand from us," said Avalanche's CEO Pim Holfve.

Rumble City is available a free to play game on Android right now. You can download it on Google Play and the Amazon App Store.

It'll also be available for iOS on July 9th. You can find out more about it on its website.
