Warhammer Quest dev Rodeo Games throws its hat into the Unreal Engine 4 mobile ring

Rodeo Games will probably be the first indie developer to release a game for mobile using the Unreal Engine 4.

Yep, Rodeo is currently using Epic's cutting-edge engine in a turn-based strategy title based on one of Games Workshop's franchises.

"We've made it our mission to raise the bar on what players can expect to see in mobile visuals and gameplay," Laurent Maguire, co-founder of Rodeo Games, said.

"In short, we want to set a new standard, and working with Unreal Engine 4 we can achieve that more efficiently and with greater impact."

Hunting success

Rodeo is responsible for the Bronze Award-winning strategy game Hunters: Episode One and the Silver Award-winning follow-up Hunters: Episode Two.

Rodeo also developed the Silver Award-winning Warhammer Quest, which represented the studio's maiden collaboration with Games Workshop.

Hopefully, Rodeo's forthcoming Unreal Engine 4-based game will be another quality strategy experience. It's due out in Q2 2015.
