Respawnables offers us all a brand new way to shoot down other players from our mobile phone, and it's well good fun.

Whether you're shooting to kill time on the bus, or you want to get competitive with others online, Respawnables is a good choice for mobile shooter fans.

So where do you get started with the game? Well, why not right here? Here's a few tips that will help you smash your way through all of the missions and modes in Respawnables.

1
Touchy controls

You'll need to adjust to the control scheme of Respawnables pretty quickly if you want to rack up the kinds of kills necessary.

Luckily, it's the standard touch control scheme you're used to, mostly.

One thumb to move, one thumb to aim, and a touch button you can move a bit like a digital analogue stick to adjust your aim.

Only, it's a bit fiddly to aim and fire, even with this set up. The best strategy usually seems to be strafing side to side while shooting down enemies.

Ratatata

There's loads of guns to choose from in Respawnables, but they don't just affect the bullets you'll fire - they change pretty much everything.

Your movement speed, fire rate, it's all tied down to weapon you're carrying. Heavier weapons will make you move more slowly, and lighter weapons will let you run around more.

Mobility will definitely help in many opportunities, but that's not to say a heavy weapon is a bad idea, especially in the following situation…

3
Elevation

Most stages don't just have a flat plane and chest high walls to shoot from behind, no, there's more to these stages.

You'll be able to get on top of rooftops and shoot foes below from above, meaning mobility isn't so much of a problem, just your line of sight.

Heavy weapon fire from atop buildings is a good way to rack up kills from relative safety.

Bagging a bonus

As enemies die they drop bonus icons, which will boost your score. For obvious reasons, you'll want to grab these to boost your scores in the single player modes.

In multiplayer it changes up - you can instead leave icons as bait, and wait for an opponent to come and pick them up, before shooting them down.

It can go both ways of course, and in general you'll want to collect them, but it's a good strategy to keep in mind for the future.
