[Update] Red Dwarf brings its own mobile game to iOS and Android, available now for £1.99
Updated 23rd September, 10:05 AM: Seems like UKTV has pushed their newest game, Red Dwarf XI: The Game, live around about the time the public had predicted.

Grab it now on the App Store for £1.99/$1.99, or Google Play for the same price, and accompany the latest series of Red Dwarf in style, you Smeghead.

If you're of a certain age, or just enjoy old-school British comedy, you may be intrigued by the fact that Red Dwarf will be bringing out its own mobile game later this month, developed by GameDigits.

Firstly, what? How has it taken this long for this to happen? At least, that's what I assume you guys are saying right now. Almost thirty years after it aired its first episode, Red Dwarf has been a program that's flicked in and out of popularity. Though series one to six were fairly continuous, it all started getting a bit more spaced out as things went on, until series 11 and series 12 were set to run one year after another.

However Red Dwarf XI: The Game is slated to release within weeks – I would assume around the time the first episode of season 11 airs – and will feature content by Doug Naylor, with new missions from the upcoming series and so on.

This is still pretty thin but we'll update you as more information comes to light. Until then, lie back, shipwrecked and comatose, and drink some fresh mango juice.
