The Android Quality Index boasts over 290,000 reviews from websites like Life of Android, Pocket Gamer, and GameDynamo, and uses a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each Android title.
Playing Devil's Advocate
October has been a wicked month for Android games - in every sense of the word.
Topping the Qi chart is Devil's Attorney, you see, a charming turn-based strategy game that runs with the line that lawyers are corrupt and self-serving. No!! Never! It's devilishly good fun.
Speaking of which, right behind Senri AB's diabolically good strategy title in second place is League of Evil. For those not in the know, this is a fast-paced platformer in which you take on a gang of evil scientists.
If you're feeling like a bit of an evil scientist yourself, then Miniclip's Plague Inc. may be just the ticket. In it, you take control of a deadly virus, mutating and enhancing it in an attempt to wipe out earth's entire population.
And just behind that in sixth place, Wild Blood places you in the armoured shoes of the disgraced knight Sir Lancelot in a lush Unreal Engine-powered action-adventure.

N.B. While we only display the average score to one decimal place, the list is generated to further significant figures. We just don't show them all.
And, naturally, this is a static graph based on live listings which are subject to constant change as new releases and reviews emerge.
In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the Android games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top ten.
