Puzzle & Dragons hosts a new iteration of their yearly crossover with the Monster Hunter franchise

GungHo has finally released the latest collaboration within their match-3 puzzler RPG Puzzle and Dragons, this time with the legendary action RPG series Monster Hunter. While this collaboration has been seen before early last year, this re-run of sorts brings with it new content and enemies to face down as well as a bunch of materials to gather up and challenging dungeons to tackle.

Having been announced about a week ago, this crossover effort was highly anticipated given how successful the last Monster Hunter collaboration was for Puzzle and Dragons. This time around, the collaboration is focused on the Monster Hunter Rise expansion pack, Sunbreak. You can see this in the enemies that you'll battle against within the new raids and dungeons.

Specifically, one of the dungeons involves you doing battle against the flagship monster of Sunbreak: Malzeno. This vampiric dragon will put your party composition to the test and is meant for end-game players, asking you to use a collaboration character as your party leader for rewards.

Another new raid being added in this event squares you off against Lunagaron, another main monster within the Sunbreak expansion. This raid is even more difficult than the Malzeno dungeon, but the rewards are worth it, as it will give you a free pull from the 6-star summoning machine.

There will also be a Monster Exchange refresh that will allow you to actually gather some monsters from the Monster Hunter franchise for your own use, and if you’re looking for a shortcut towards those rewards, there are a few real money packs available in the store that will give you them right away.
