Cave's Psycho-Pass iOS and Android game is a visual novel / shooter hybrid
Profile or pass
Cave has released a new iOS and Android game in Japan based on the Psycho-Pass anime.
In it, you play as a rookie in Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division as they track down masked criminals.
As with the anime, you're able to scan people to get a psychological profile of them. If they have criminal intentions then you can apprehend them with your Dominator.
The play is divided between visual novel story-telling sections and first-person shooter-style moments.
If you're unfamiliar, Psycho-Pass takes place in a future dystopia that sees enforcers capturing people by profiling them on the streets before they can commit crimes.
The sensors used are able to detect a person's mental state, personality, and how likely they are to break the law.
If you have a Japanese iTunes account then you can download Psycho-Pass for free on the App Store and Google Play right now.
Cave recently pulled out from making games for English-speaking players so don't expect this one to come to the west.
