Updated 14th September, 11:35 AM: The newest Pokemon GO update is now live for your enjoyment. Head over to the App Store or Google Play if you haven't got the game already, and get yourself a buddy.

The Pokemon GO team released another statement recently updating us on what we can expect in versions 0.37.0 for Android, and 1.7.0 for iOS.

Obviously as you know by now Niantic have been busy little bees, what with the upcoming version of the game coming to Apple Watch, the Pokemon GO Plus accessory finally launching this week, and with their various updates and patches including the Buddy Pokemon system.

Looks like your wait will shortly be over in that regard as the next update implements this feature, allowing you to pick your Buddy Pokemon with pride. Not only will you have it appear beside you but when you've walked a certain distance you'll be able to earn Candy for them as well.

Other than this the remainder of the update is autumnal cleaning and polishing. Niantic have worked on a few bugs and text fixes, fixed the issue regarding missing animations for eggs hatching, and you can now select smaller Pokemon on the screen with ease.

Check out the full work-up below.
