Pokemon Masters free sync pairs have been uncovered by dataminers

Thanks to the work of some dedicated dataminers we now know the identities of five new sync pairs in Pokemon Masters. The new reveal now accounts for the partners you can obtain for free across chapters 1 to 18 of the game's story. This means you can start planning out your team now as you wait for the launch later this summer.

The sync pairs themselves are characters from the main series of games alongside their signature Pokemon. These can be mixed and matched to create your team of three. Each sync pair has a different role in your party. This can either be attacking, healing or inflicting various status afflictions. The newly revealed pairings include:

  • Viola and Surskit
  • Nanu and Alolan Persian
  • Koga and Crobat
  • Acerola and Palossand
  • Chern and Stoutland

There are several sync pairs beyond the free choices offered through the main campaign that can only be acquired through the Sync Pair Scout. This is effectively a gacha system similar to those found in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius or Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes.

If you're unfamiliar with the term, it is essentially a loot box type system where you can randomly get new characters as well as those you already own. Getting a character you already own allows you to power them up or obtain items if their power level has been maxed out.

Pokemon Masters is set to launch on August 29th and if you're as excited to get Palossand for free as I am, you can pre-register over on the App Store or Google Play. If you're not a fan of the haunted sandcastle or just want to know the other sync pairs available for free then all the information can be found on the official site.
