This iOS and Android Pokemon clone is almost too impressive to be a knock-off
Gotta snatch 'em all
We've seen clones before, but nothing like this. A free to play RPG for iOS and Android features assets and characters lifted directly from Pokemon - but it's not some hastily put together knock-off.
Pocket Master (as it is known on iOS - the same game is called Pocket Battle on Android) promises over 500 unique "pets" for you to collect, train, evolve, and take into battle. You can also fight friends online.
It's got a 3D world to explore, proper turn-based battles, and loads of characters to meet - causing App Store and Google Play reviewers to say it's like the Pokemon mobile game we've been crying out for.
In fact it's such a good effort, that some believe this is in fact an official Pokemon game, but with a different name and attributed to an unknown developer (Dna Games on Android, Jie Hao on iOS) while the game undergoes "soft launch" testing.
What do you think? If you can stomach an awkward translation and general dodginess of clones, you can get the game on iOS or Android and let us know.
