Pocket Gamer and Friends

The week is winding down here at PG Towers, which means it's time to reflect on the past week, past experiences, past mistakes, lost loves, missed connections… sorry, where was I?

Oh, yeah! It's time to look at our sister sites and see what our friends at AppSpy and 148Apps have been producing this week, which is almost guaranteed to be golden.

So grab a cup of your chosen beverage, settle down on the sofa or at your desk, and take a look at the things you may have missed this week.

148Apps

Harry didn't churn out one of usual takes on 148 this week, but he did come up with a pretty tasty list of the best platforming games currently available on mobile, and it's difficult to disagree with his choices.

The list includes Super Mario Run, VVVVVV, Downwell, Rayman Jungle Run, and many more – really you should just look at the full list yourself.

With regards to Super Mario Run, Harry notes that "the sheer joy you get at seeing Mario bouncing around on your phone is going to leave you with a big smile on your face."

AppSpy

Christian's Hidden Gem this week on AppSpy is Telepaint, an interesting puzzle-platformer about of bucket of paint trying to reach a fresh brush.

"While the automatic movement may sound like more of a hectic element, Telepaint lets you pause the time and manipulate portal while stopped, giving you as much time is needed to consider what direction you'll exit portals, how that direction will make you bump off walls, how you'll interact with certain obstacles," he writes.

AppSpy Video

James was away this week, but he did still manage to get a few videos ready to go, and there in a hands-on style, so you get to hear his silky-smooth voice attempt to understand games in real time.

There's the weird, mad-cap Bombarika, which honestly has to be seen to be believed:

And there's Tiny Bubbles, which is relaxing and beautiful while also being a very clever puzzler:
