1. Forgotten Memories is the closest thing you're going to get to Silent Hill on your iPhone, and it does a pretty damn good job of aping Konami's psychological horror series. Peter takes a look in a hands-on video. 2. We're giving you the chance to be a dead body in the upcoming Victorian-noir detective game Criminel. The lucky(?) winner will go to London and get their face scanned in so they can play a corpse in this interesting iPad game.

3. David Cage's barmy b-movie Fahrenheit hit the App Store this week. It's probably best left forgotten, to be honest, but we were surprised to see that the awkward interactive sex scene make it past Apple's prudish review staff. 4. One of our most popular stories this week was about the tasty retro driver '90s Arcade Racer. Publisher Nicalis is playing our collective nostalgia of Daytona like a fiddle, and we couldn't be happier.

5. We've been looking forward to The Wild for quite some time. It's a singleplayer survival game for iOS with hints of Rust and DayZ. Peter got his hands on it, and offers this early preview. If you can't wait any longer, check out Radiation Island. 6. Want a frankly overpowered Pokemon for your Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire crew? We've got a code for a Serperior that has the Contrary ability. If you know about Pokemon you're currently making a face that looks like this :O

7. ZeptoLab unveiled a brand new game last week. King of Thieves is a multiplayer platformer with a touch of tower defence. Sounds weird, kind of wonderful, and completely different to Cut the Rope. This is how you do something new, Rovio! 8. A little while back we pissed off half our readers by pointing out things that make Android fans jealous of iOS users. This week, we pissed off the other half by revealing what makes iOS fanboys go green over Google's fleet of phones. But that's okay, because our web servers run on angry comments.

9. Peter also got this mitts all over the enticing police procedural, The Detail. According to the developer, this is a mash-up of The Wire and Telltale's The Walking Dead which is the best combination since Paula Abdul did a duet with MC Skat Kat. Catch his preview, here. 10. I went back to the weird world of Grim Fandango this week, to see how the remastered Vita version holds up. Good news: you can actually play it now! Bad news: it's surprisingly old and crusty. Don't leave home without a walkthrough! Around Steel Media

Mean Girls ruled, Battle of Toys grabbed our fancy, and Ambition of the Slimes took home the coveted Editor’s Choice. All this, and oh so much more, at 148Apps.
