| Pocket Academy

Usually the sales post goes up on Monday but, for anyone living outside of the UK, the majority of us were sleeping past noon, eating too much, and having a little R&R for the bank holiday.

Now we're back, though, did you really think I'd deny you a look at the week's current sales? A few of them are left over from Easter so I can't say how long they'll be running, however whether you're a puzzler kind-of person, a story-lover, or someone who wants a little action, check out what's on offer below.

Braveland

This turn-based game is inspired by old-school strategies, so I guess you should know what to expect. Working from a warrior's son, you've got to progress through the ranks until you become commander on your very own army.

Cat Quest

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £2.29/$2.45

Head off on a purrific journey in this isomeowtric adventure. Explore Felingard, save your sister from the evil Drakoth, explore dungeons, and help others you cross paths with on your quest.

Cook, Serve, Delicious!

  • Platform: iOS/Android
  • Price: £2.99/$2.99 or cheaper

This strategic restaurant sim'll have you shining up a broken down old restaurant into something that'll make your mama proud. And best of all - you can make it into whatever you like with thirty foods, a few thousand dollars, and a pocket full of dreams.

Door Kickers

This top-down action game isn't merely a shoot-and-boot sort-of affair. No, this one's all about strategy as you'll work through over 80 single missions, six campaigns, a mission generator (for unlimited gameplay), and more.

Forgotten Memories: Alternate Realities

  • Platform: iOS
  • Price: £4.99/$4.99

Anyone looking for something spooky to sink into this evening, this one's always a winner. Play as Rose Hawkins as she searching for Eden, a missing child. In order to escape her worst fears, Rose needs to confront them head-on, explore her environment, solve puzzles, and unravel the mystery.

It may not have much skimmed off the full price, but every little helps.

Forgotten Places: Lost Circus (Full)

  • Platform: iOS/Android
  • Price: £1.99/$1.99 or cheaper

Follow Joy as she embarks on a journey to discover the real-life reasons behind her terrible nightmares. Search for clues, solve puzzles, play mini-games, and collect strange items on her quest for answers.

Iron Marines

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £2.19/$2.49

This RTS is a tireless favourite and a truly excellent mobile game for strategy-lovers. Made by those colourful characters who brought us Kingdom Rush, this is something worth every penny at full price, let alone on sale.

Kairosoft Games

Kairosoft's titles are known for their cute pixel art and easy-to-grasp playstyle. Create dungeon villages, your own schools, and be the boss of your own team in these three exciting titles:

Dungeon Village - £1.99/$1.99
Grand Prix Story - £1.99/$1.99
Pocket Academy - 99p/99c

Neon Chrome

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £3.19/$3.49

This twin-stick top-down shooter is endlessly entertaining as you'll blaze through the game with one particular goal - take down the Overseer or die trying. I mean, you'll die a lot, but thanks to its procedurally generated levels, at least you won't be bored.

Open Bar!

As much as I'd like this to be an app that spits out a daiquiri each time you open it, it's almost as good. Solve cocktail-flavoured puzzles, explore an endless stream of challenges, and unlock new cocktails as you go.

The Room Two & Three

The Room Two - 79p/99c
The Room Three - £1.79/$1.99

It's time to dive back into the strange, alluring land of The Room and solve even more mysterious puzzles than before.

Terraria

  • Platform: Android (also on iOS)
  • Price: £2.29/$2.49

If you're a big fan of Minecraft and didn't first stumble upon the ever-excellent Terraria, you've got to add this one to your library - like now. There's plenty to do, plenty to see, plenty to slay, and plenty of friends to make if you choose to be social.
