Sony says PlayStation Phone is 'definitely fake', then 'no comment'

Sony says PlayStation Phone is 'definitely fake', then 'no comment'
|

Earlier today, Imagine Publishing website NowGamer reported that the leaked PlayStation Phone is bogus.

Apparently a Sony PR rep debunked the images, saying, “These images are definitely fake.”

Since then, NowGamer has removed the juicy quote in its entirety from the site, replacing it with a bog-standard line from Sony. The quote now says, “We do not comment on rumour and speculation.” Sony Ericsson says the same.

Several commenters have reportedly questioned the authenticity of Engadget's original story, pointing out dirt on the screen and mention of A and B keys - neither of which appears to be on the device - in the interface.
