Plants vs Zombies 2 punches its way into the land of the living tomorrow

It's been awhile since we've heard anything official about Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About Time, but now it looks like the wait for the highly anticipated sequel is just about over.

The follow-up to PopCap's tremendously successful Gold Award-winning tower defense classic Plants Vs Zombies was originally on track for a July release, but was delayed in late June for a bit of fine tuning.

Now, a post on the Plants Vs Zombies Facebook page hints that the wait will be over 'tomorrow'. Whether this 'tomorrow' means August 15 or later tonight (based on your region) remains to be seen, but the good news is that you won't have to wait much longer to get your hands on PvZ 2.

Many fans of the franchise lamented when they learned that Plants Vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time would be free-to-play, but we found that it had "lots of fresh ideas" when we went hands-on with it at the beginning of July.

Further, in an interview with PopCap's senior producer Allen Murray, we learned how each of the different time periods in the time travel-based Plants vs Zombies 2: It's About Time will affect how the game plays.

No matter when Plant Vs Zombies 2 arrives tomorrow, we know that we'll be excited to put it through its paces.
