Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD now available on Android in Japan

It looks like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD will be holding court on Android as well as on iOS when it arrives in the West.

The courtroom drama trilogy, which was confirmed for iOS late last year, will contain mobile versions of Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations.

Though the iOS version has been available on the Japanese App Store for some time, we had no news on whether Capcom was planning to launch the series on Android.

However, the illustrious developer put our speculation to bed yesterday when it published a Japanese version of the Ace Attorney Trilogy - referred to as Gyakuten Saiben 123HD in the East - on Google Play.

As in the iOS version of the Phoenix Wright collection, the artwork for all three games in the Android bundle has been replaced with new high-resolution images.

We're also hoping the "Everyone Object!" feature (which allows players to tweet or email animated GIFs of characters from the series) has been included in the 'droid version.

Nothing but the truth

As we understand it, Ace Attorney - the first game in the series - is available for free in the Google Play version of the Ace Attorney Trilogy, with the option included to buy the remaining two games via in-app purchases.

Capcom has promised that the English version of the trilogy will hit iOS devices early this year. We have our fingers crossed that the Android version will follow suit.
