PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist should be out on iOS and Android this summer

The official game of the biggest Let's Player and most subscribed YouTuber PewDiePie (aka Felix Kjellberg) has got a name.

It's to be called PewDiePie: Legend of the Brofist and the plan is to bring it to iOS and Android (and probably PC) this summer.

It's a 2D action-platformer in which you play as PewDiePie or his partner CutiePie, along with their two pugs Edgar and Maya.

The story hasn't been revealed yet but we do know that you'll be travelling across an overworld comprised of places including an island shaped like a duck and large glaciers.

The video in which PewDiePie announced the game's name showed off one of the game's ice levels. You can watch it below.

As you can see, PewDiePie has to free a number of Shannon the sharks to complete the level. This is due to them having been tied by up PewDiePie's arch nemesis: barrels.

While he does this, he's attacked by the Illuminati, penguins, wolves, and falling ice blocks. Some enemies can be dealt with by jumping upon them but there are abilities that do a better job of it.

One of these is the Brofist - PewDiePie's signature move at the end of his videos - that clears the screen of enemies. Another is Time Warp, which slows the movement speed of enemies down.

These abilities can be unlocked by spending the Bro coins that you earn inside levels, usually by beating enemies.

Legend of the Brofist will feature other recurring characters from the PewDiePie universe including Stephano (the statue in Amnesia: The Dark Descent).

Other big YouTubers that PewDiePie sometimes collaborates with will also make appearances including CinnamonToastKen, JackSepticEye, and Markiplier.

The game is being created by indie studio Outerminds. You can follow their website to find out more about game's development.
