PUBG Mobile has announced the first National Championship in the United Kingdom

PUBG Mobile has announced the first PUBG Mobile Championship (PMNC) to take place in the United Kingdom as they look to expand the game's growing esports scene. The tournament will be sponsored by Xiaomi and will have a prize pool of £22,000 up for grabs, and teams from the UK can sign up to compete now.

The PMNC will start with the PMNC Open Qualifier, which will take place from June 4th to 11th. During these eight days, the 32 best teams will be determined, and they will then move on to the Group Stage. The top 16 teams in the group stage will advance to the finals, which will play out over three days.

The winner of the PMNC United Kingdom 2021 will then progress to the PMPL Western Europe Season 2. This tournament is set to take place later in the year, during the Autumn, and will see the best teams from this region going head-to-head for a bigger prize.

As mentioned, this new tournament aims to increase interest and participation in PUBG Mobile esports across this region. It is one of many tourneys that will be hosted throughout the year in Western Europe, with a total prize pool of $400,000 USD on offer.

If you're interested in taking part yourself to see how you compare to the best PUBG Mobile players, you can sign up over on the game's official esports website. A team needs to have a minimum of four players and a maximum of six players from the same country. Registration for the tournament will be open until May 24th.

PUBG Mobile is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
