PUBG Mobile brings Dolby Atmos to Arena Mode for more immersive audio

PUBG Mobile is known for teaming up with big companies for various collaborations, with events that usually add a few neat things to the battle royale for a while. Aside from cosmetics and the occasional gameplay mode or element, though it doesn't usually alter the gameplay much. However, the latest partnership will actually make a huge difference to your experience. Dolby Laboratories has announced that Dolby Atmos is now available in Arena Mode.

Next time you step into Arena Mode, you can benefit from boosted audio quality that promises to be more immersive than ever. With clearer sounds, you can potentially hear an opponent scrabbling around for loot and get the jump on them, particularly if they're playing without sound, as a lot of mobile players tend to do.

Whether it's the background soundscapes, the bullets firing from your gun or the rev of an engine, everything will sound infinitely better than before. To enjoy this new update, you will need to have a Dolby Atmos-compatible device and remember to turn it on in the settings menu.

“Even more than visuals, sound plays a key role in immersing players in PUBG MOBILE to keep them on their toes and in the middle of the action. Players will be able to hear the difference in their games and utilise this to their advantage. We look forward to working with Dolby more in the future to continue bringing technological advancements to players everywhere.”
