Payday developer Starbreeze Studios has revealed plans to release a mobile entry in their heist-'em-up franchise, having partnered with mobile dev Cmune.

For those not in the know, Payday sees you and three teammates storming into banks, taking as much money as you can, and escaping without being killed or arrested.

Starbreeze recently announced a mobile version of its puzzle/adventure game Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, so it looks like Starbreeze is starting to shift its focus to mobile.

Cmune is known for UberStrike, a multiplayer FPS that made the jump from Facebook to iOS and Android a couple of years ago.

There's currently no info on the game, any kind of release window, or even what devices it will be released on.

But given Cmune's experience in the FPS genre, let's hope that the mobile version of Payday won't stray too far from the console versions.
