This week, members of the Pocket Gamer and AppSpy crew are at Gamescom in Cologne. Between eating our collective body weight sausages, we'll be bringing you quick-fire impressions of our favourite games on show.

Out There Omega

Out There: Omega Edition isn't going to be a huge, game-changing update to the original space-faring adventure game, Out There.

Sure, the update will add 50 more interactive stories, a fresh ending, some new alien breeds, and some fetching new ships.

But it's more about porting it across to other platforms (including PC, Mac, Linux, and eventually Windows Phone) and polishing aspects of the game that the tiny Mi-Clos team didn't have time to focus on in the run up to launch.

So you can expect a new graphics engine with dynamic backdrops and more lively animations. And you'll see swish new 3D planets - but the game thankfully retains the painterly, comic book style of the original game.

Plus, new landscapes will be added when you drop down on a planet's surface and there's new music to hear.

Omega Edition will be a free update on iOS and Android for anyone who bought Out There. And seeing as we called it "funny, exciting, and fresh" in our Gold Award review, you should make yourself a member of that club post haste.
