Work those mind muscles with Onitama: The Board Game, out now on iOS and Android
It's like chess, but not...
On our list of new releases this week you may have seen Onitama: The Board Game nestled in amongst the group, all cosy and warm. Well, it's out now free-to-play on the App Store and Google Play, so don't be shy - give it a go.
As its description says, it's a bit like chess in a way. The idea is to capture your opponent's elder or take your place in the temple arch to win the game, but to do that you're going to have to think strategically.
You'll have four warriors and an elder, and the moves you can make are determined by five cards picked at random. Each card corresponds to an animal and represents a certain move you'll follow. When you play a card you'll place it between you and pick up your opponent's previously-played cards, so you've both got equal chances of winning.
I know this sounds a little intense, but the more you play the more you'll get the hang of it. Oh, and don't forget to check out our TableTap streams on Tuesdays.
