Kick ass cult classic Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath has finally made its way onto iPhone and iPad, and can be yours today for £3.99 / $5.99.

The game's all about hunting down bad guys from wanted posters, and hauling them back into town for a big cash prize. You get more money if you bring them in alive, so you'll have to plan accordingly.

You could run in and beat them to a pulp, or switch into first-person mode and cap your bounty with your crossbow. But it pays to be sneaky, to hide in cover, and lay traps and surprises that incapacitate your foes.

Weirdly, your ammunition is made up of wriggling critters that you have to hunt from the environment. That includes a chipmunk that lures in enemies, a spider that wraps them up in a web, and a spiky porcupine that acts as a trip-wire trap.

Like most console ports, the touchscreen controls aren't ideal and the screen is littered with fake buttons to press. Luckily, the game has great MFi controller support which makes it feel exactly like you're playing the original game.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath also has Game Center support, iCloud save syncing, and a litany of graphic and performance options which means you can run this on an iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad Mini, or fifth generation iPod Touch if you fancy.

It's out now on iOS for £3.99 / $5.99. The developer tells Pocket Gamer that the Android edition will be here "soon".
