Gameforge has announced the official and long-awaited mobile launch of OGame, the space strategy MMO that has been taking players through an intergalactic journey for 20 years now. The mobile release on both iOS and Android devices includes the Lifeforms Expansion as well, which brings the biggest update to date to fans of the sci-fi title.

In OGame, players can expect to explore the cosmos in celebration of the franchise's 20th anniversary when it was first crafted by Gameforge CEO Alexander Rösner on October 3rd, 2002. The Lifeforms update will boost the festivities with four unique lifeforms joining the fray, namely, Humans, Rock’tal, Mechas and Kaelesh.

Players can look forward to 48 new buildings and 72 fresh species technologies to tinker around with. They'll also have to manage lifeforms and food as valuable resources in order to thrive. “Players have been supporting OGame for 20 years now, and we felt that we had to reward that dedication in a big way,” says Lead Product Manager, Martin Liedtke. “OGame on mobile devices and the recently released Lifeforms expansion are our gift to the game’s passionate community, and we hope they enjoy it!
