MWC 2014: Nokia unveils 1st Android-powered phones - Nokia X, X+, and XL
Entry-level phones from the Finnish giant
The rumours were true: Nokia has unveiled its first Android-powered devices at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today.
The Nokia X, Nokia X+, and Nokia XL are three low-powered and affordable phones, and they all run a forked version of the Android OS. They run Android apps, whether you get them from the curated Nokia store or just sideload them.
Nokia X and Nokia X+ key facts: Screen - 4-inch WVGA (800x480) touchscreen
Under the hood - Dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 chip and 512MB (Nokia X) or 768MB (Nokia X+) of RAM
Camera - 3-megapixel camera
Operating system - "Nokia X software platform", built on top of Android
Special features - Pre-loaded Nokia and Microsoft apps, and curated app shop
Release date - Nokia X will go on sale immediately, and will be rolled out in Asia-Pacific, Europe, India, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. The Nokia X+ will appear in the early part of Q2 2014

Screen - 5-inch WVGA (800x480) touchscreen
Under the hood - Dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 chip with 768MB of RAM
Camera - 5-megapixel camera around back, 2-megapixel camera on front
