DeNA says Nintendo should be announcing its first mobile game 'soon'
|

We've been told to expect Nintendo's first mobile game announcement "soon."

The person saying that is DeNA West CEO Shintaro Asako.

He was speaking onstage at GamesBeat 2015 in San Francisco earlier this week about DeNA's collaboration with Nintendo.

"Soon, we should be able to announce the game," he said.

That promise lines up with what Asako told us during Pocket Gamer Connects earlier this year. That is, the first DeNA and Nintendo mobile game will be out by the end of 2015.

There's only a couple of months left in the year now so, yeah, that announcement should be here soon. Certainly.

If only we knew how soon. Next week? Next month? We'll have to keep waiting to find out.

Asako also told us that four more mobile games from the two companies will be out by March 2017. The time of Nintendo not having a mobile game out is almost up.
