Kairosoft puts you in charge of a ninja clan in its latest Android sim

In the latest Android sim from Kairosoft - the Japanese master of the management game - you're put in charge of a ninja clan in 16th-century Japan.

In Kairosoft's Ninja Village, the entire nation of Japan is in chaos. The country is mired in civil war, as feudal lords scramble to take control of the country.

It's up to you, then, to rally your stealthy assassins to fight on the battlefield and help unify Japan.

Admin error

As ever in a Kairosoft sim, your job is mostly administrative. So, you hire and train ninjas; arm them with the best weapons; and assign them to military positions like infantry, cavalry, archer, and gunner.

Then, you'll take part in side-scrolling, stat-swapping battles across the nation. You might even meet some of the era's greatest generals on the battlefield.

Between bouts, you'll need to build up your village and raise money for your mercenary group by holding bake sales. Seriously. You'll be producing food and trinkets to sell to passing travellers.

Ninja Village

Ninja Village is an Android exclusive for now, and will set you back £2.99 / $4.99.

In recent times, Kairosoft has launched Dream House Days, where we said "the tacked-on free-to-play elements begin to nose their way into the experience", and Pocket Stables, which we called "the least entertaining and least addictive Kairosoft game to date".

Here's hoping Kairosoft's latest game is a return to form. We'll have a full review of Ninja Village up on the site soon.
