Google's I/O event is just days away, but that hasn't slowed down the rumour mill. If anything, it's sped it up significantly.

According to Gizmodo Australia, Google's rumoured forthcoming Nexus tablet will arrive packing the next iteration of the search giant's mobile operating system: Jelly Bean (a.k.a. Android 4.1).

Moving onto hardware, the tablet will apparently house a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and NFC functionality, which would allow the company's Google Wallet service to be pre-loaded onto the device. The tablet's 7-inch screen will reportedly have a resolution of 1280x800 pixels and a 178-degree viewing angle.

Price-wise, Google's slate will (maybe) be available in two flavours: a 8GB model for $199 and a 16GB version for $249. Google's I/O conference will kick off in San Francisco on Wednesday, so we'll probably find out for certain then.
