Neeko has you poke and tickle a cute monster to get the bugs out of its body
How about a shower instead?
I can understand playing with Neeko's rubbery hair follicles, and tickling its pudgy belly, but why would you shove your finger around its gob?
This is a question that came to me while watching the trailer for Neeko, which is the virtual pet game starring this blobby orange monster.
I then found out that the answer is that Neeko has some annoying bugs inside and around him that you need to get rid of. That makes sense, I guess.
Doing well at this activity by stretching his arms, playing with his lips, and looking in between his toes, causes the bugs to fly away. You then need to catch them so they don't pester Neeko again.
It turns out that the bugs you catch can be traded for coins in a colour matching mini-game. You can then spend those coins on unlocking Neeko's friends: Meeko, Peeko, and Jeeko.
They're cute, goofy, and squishy - just like Neeko. If you want to meet them, you'll want to purchase Neeko for £1.49 / $1.99 on the App Store [buy] or Google Play [buy].
