When The Past Was Around

As you can probably already tell from the title, When The Past Was Around is an emotional point-and-click game that takes you on a journey through a young girl's memories with her odd owl partner. It's partly a music game as well, as you'll sometimes have to find notes and complete melodies to progress through levels.

It also features beautiful hand-drawn artwork that complements the bittersweet tone of the game. It's a short but sweet tale about "love, moving on, letting go, and the joy and pain of everything in between."

Arabilis: Super Harvest

This charming farming game features pixel-art visuals and a relaxing theme about planting vegetables, nurturing them in your garden, and harvesting them across all four seasons. You'll have to play through the game and try to last as long as you can through the years, but things aren't as simple as they may seem.

Just like nature does in real life, the game presents you with random challenges like pesky animals and unpredictable weather that will keep each new playthrough as unique as the last.

Phobies

This free-to-play strategy card game lets players collect more than 120 Phobies they can use to battle it out in an asynchronous arena across a whimsical world. The Phobies themselves have unique abilities and represent people's irrational fears, but thanks to the art style, the titular creatures are pleasing to look at despite their so-called terrifying appearance.

Players can also earn weekly and seasonal rewards as they climb to the top of the Mount Ego leaderboards, or play the game with friends and other like-minded individuals across the globe.

Find out more about NCHE: The Escape
NCHE: The Escape

This first-person action shooter from solo dev Okolie Uchechukwu (indie studio Cleec Designs) begins as you wake up in an unknown facility filled with zombies. You'll have to do everything you can to find a means to escape - thankfully, you can pick up weapons and ammo along the way to help you navigate the facility and make it out in one piece.

You'll also have to dodge (or shoot) lasers that block your way apart from the hordes of the undead, so each level requires strategic thinking as the difficulty level increases.
