Updated on October 16th at 14:15: The Android version of NBA 2K15 will be exclusive to the Amazon App Store and Amazon's Fire phone, tablets, and TV.

Yep, sorry Android players, you won't be able to play this one (at least for now) unless you own one of Amazon's new tech bits.

The Android version of NBA 2K15 will be out on October 28th.

Original story follows...

It seems that 2K Sports has seen fit to bring its annual iteration of big league basketball to mobile this year. Yep, NBA 2K15 is now available on iOS.

This comes after I had a little moan about the card-based companion app for the console versions of NBA 2K15 - called My NBA 2K15 - earlier this week.

My anticipation was that what some might call the 'proper' NBA 2K game, the one in which you play basketball rather than cards, wasn't coming to mobile.

Obviously, I was wrong, and that's a good thing if you're a fan of the series.

As expected, NBA 2K15 is basically an updated version of NBA 2K14. That involves 2K Sports boasting that it has improved graphics, more character animations, and is somehow and "ultra-realistic" basketball game.

Also of note is that it has a MyCAREER mode with expanded features, and new controller support with virtual controller re-sizing.

If you want it, you can purchase NBA 2K15 on the App Store for £5.49 / $7.99 right now. We presume an Android version is on the way but it hasn't turned up yet if it is.
