Monsters Ate My Metropolis is the city-leveling sequel to Monsters Ate My Condo

Today, Adult Swim Games and PikPok revealed their next game: Monsters Ate My Metropolis, the sequel to the Silver Award-winning Monsters Ate My Condo.

While the first game was a colorful, over-the-top match-3 puzzle game, Monsters Ate My Metropolis eschews that original format for an equally colorful and over-the-top card battler.

The Monsters have progressed from eating condos to leveling entire cities, and to do so, you build a deck of powerful attacks, buffs, and other abilities. Each monster has unique perks as well, ranging from increased damage to earning more tokens.

Battles revolve around you and the city you wish to destroy selecting cards to inflict damage. Battles in Monsters Ate My Metropolis are spectacles of flashy attack animations, as giant hammers and rainbow beams are unleashed.

Status effects such as poison and critical hits can also result in major damage.

You also need to be aware of the rock-paper-scissor relationship between card colors. Blue cards do more damage against red cards, red cards do the same to green cards, and so on.

You must also build a deck for your own city, as other players can attack your metropolis.

Monsters Ate My Metropolis will be free to play when it releases. We'll have more details such as release dates as more information becomes available.
