Missing Translation is a pixel art puzzle adventure about an abductee who must complete a series of puzzles to earn the items required to get home.
Each of the three different puzzle-types has 25 increasingly challenging levels. But working your way through them feels a lot like a slog.
The game is set in a strange town, and you can communicate with the inhabitants by drawing shapes on the screen. Or at least you can once you figure out what the shapes mean.
But it's an interesting aspect that's going to be missed by many. And that's a shame. There are some clever ideas here, but Missing Translation never quite manages to make them stick.
