Card-stacking Miracle Merchant could have been a Spongebob Krabby Patty builder
I'm glad it's not
We've all come to love TinyTouchTale's gorgeous aesthetic, but did you know that the dev's latest game, Miracle Merchant, was originally something more culinary?
Miracle Merchant, if you haven't had the pleasure yet, is a Solitaire-style game where you've got to stack ingredients to make potions for customers. The mechanic may be quite similar to Card Crawl and Card Thief, but it's put a nice twist on it.#FunFact I designed @miraclemerchant as a pitch for Nickelodeon after @cardcrawl was released. They weren't interested. #gamedev pic.twitter.com/dhyacJ8t39 — TiNYTOUCHTALES (@tinytouchtales) August 17, 2017
TinyTouchTales developer Arnold Rauers released the fact on Twitter last night, revealing that Miracle Merchant started off as a pitch to Nickelodeon following Card Crawl's launch. They weren't very impressed, but while that's sad in a way it's also good news for us.
Yep, that means you could've been building Krabby Pattys in the Krusty Krab instead of mixing potentially deadly potions. The more you know, eh?
Check out Miracle Merchant on the App Store or Google Play if you haven't already.
