Minecraft turns five years-old and celebrates with a new Ender Update trailer
How time has flown...
Can you believe it? Minecraft: Pocket Edition is five years old already - where has that time gone? To celebrate Mojang will shortly be bringing us a huge new update.
Pocket Edition is 5 years old! (That's 131,487.5 Minecraft days!) Celebrate with a new trailer for The Ender Update! https://t.co/yocnEc84bf pic.twitter.com/xbiideEbAv — Minecraft (@Minecraft) December 1, 2016
Initially Pocket Edition was only supposed to be an experiment which held a handful of qualities mushed together in the space of thee months.
Now, five years later, Pocket Edition is still endlessly entertaining with more and more additions and support as the time goes on. With an incredible 40 million players worldwide, it's easy to call the experiment a success.
Back to the update: it's time to get excited to fight the Ender Dragon in the Ender Update. As well as getting your courage up to fight the dreaded beast, we can also expect a world seed library (a catalogue of superior seeds), Polar Bears for the snow biomes, music, and Oculus Touch support.
What else will happen in the next five years? Let's pencil it in and check back in 2021.
